Emergency Services Training Plan
A biannual role play event is held at the Coconut Resort where EMT/EMS workers, faculty, firemen and police officers meet for a two day training session. Program supervisors as well as many other faculty members at the Coconut resort are required to be at least First Aid/CPR certified and this event gives these employees the chance to receive these certifications. This is also a good time for EMT/EMS, firemen and police workers the chance to tour the grounds to see the new design, in hopes to receive any feedback necessary to help facilitate emergency scenarios. This will help management arrange emergency exit routes and observe evacuation techniques to determine appropriate methods to ensure public safety.
There will also be mock emergency scenarios and role play situations where emergency personnel can acclimate themselves to the facility and the grounds. These mock emergency situations will help prepare employees as well as emergency workers for a real emergency situation.
